Malakye Grind received its first major radio airplay with the single "Mind Buzz" as a band of 18 yr old grunge rockers back in the early 90's.
The band played a small but significant role in the Australian music scene with headline and support tours with major festivals and Australian touring bands of the day. Music and lifestyles changed seeing the members disband and move onto different scenes of the Australian and USA music industries. Some 15 years later the band reformed for a series of live shows and subsequent new demo recordings in preparation for the bands full album release of new songs (and a few reworked favourites) due for release late 2020. Join us as the journey continues!!
Vocals: Rob Smith
Guitar: Pat Burke
Bass: Brook Rees

After a reunion gig following a 15 year hiatus Malakye Grind began writing new material. After spending time in Sydney rehearsing and demoing songs MG chose one track to take to the studios. What Goes Around was recorded over three days then mixed and mastered in LA. The single reveals the bands strong influences (STP and TOOL) while still staying true to the griity Malakye Grind sound that the band became well known for.
With a new album in the works MG celebrates its next chapter with its infamous MG logo available on a rockin' range of clothes - all available here. Hoodies, T Shirts, Beanies in heaps of colors can be purchased online each bearing the bands LOGO's front and back.
