In the years since their formation on the Central Coast of Australia, Malakye Grind has charged into the rock scene with a distinctive blend of hard rock, grunge, and alternative rock. Known for their intense sound and dynamic stage presence, the band has achieved growing acclaim, particularly following the release of their latest single, Into the Night. This track offers a taste of what’s to come from their highly anticipated 11-track album, Dystopian Dream. Mixed by renowned Australian producer Forrester Savell, the album digs deep into the band’s punk and hard rock roots, promising their most forceful work yet. Malakye Grind’s 2021 debut full-length LP, Music for Midnight People, also produced by Savell, showcased the band’s sonic versatility and cemented their position on the international stage. Their single Watch Them Burn gained widespread airplay, while another track, Wanna Party, found placement in Marvel’s Thor: Love and Thunder, as well as various European and Australian media outlets. Signed to the UK-based label Extreme Music, Malakye Grind is gearing up to take their explosive sound even further with Dystopian Dream, blending raw energy with thoughtful production to create a darker and dynamic thrilling ride into the unknown.
“Dystopian Dream is the reflection of our world—a wild, uncharted landscape of hope and decay,” says the band. “We’re staring into the storm, embracing the chaos, and chasing the music through the madness.”

Eyes deeper than the ocean
Eyes turning red from smoke
Lies deeper than the ocean
Keep it cool
Don’t stop don’t choke
One look he’s captivated
One word and it’s on with the show
One thing to think about it
Just animals ready to go
Prize bigger than bazillion
Prize barely even raise a smile
Lies deeper than the ocean
Roll on into the night
I know you got a restless soul
And a matchbox full of hope
And a pocket full of gold
We can share the afternoon
Till it’s gone like the sun
Into the night
Into the night
Into the night
Blood running into water
Sun bouncing from the sky
Blood dripping onto sand now look away into the light
One word said the captain
One look and it’s on with the show
Reflected lines in the mirror
Paint a scene on the crowd
Prize bigger than bazillion
Prize barely even raise a smile
Lies deeper than the ocean
Roll on into the night
I know you got a restless soul
And a matchbox full of hope
And a pocket full of gold
We can share the afternoon
Till it’s gone like the sun
Into the night
Into the night
Into the night
Staring at the sky
Screaming at the night
All is broken now
Cannot make it right
All my fuck ups
I'll never learn
Stack them bridges up
Gonna watch them burn
Dust myself off
Face another day
I can't let you stand in my way
All my fuck ups
I'll never learn
Stack them bridges up
Gonna watch them burn
In retrospect I should have walked away
Now it's time for me to start again
Staring at the sky
Screaming at the night
Everything gone wrong
Cannot make it right
I'm a failure
In retrospect I should have walked away
Now it's time for me to start again
Again
In retrospect I should have walked away
Now it's time for me to start again
Again
I can't let you stand in my way
Left behind my winter grey
Drag myself out of the darkness once again
Got to finish one more day
Always chasing sunshine
Love this clear blue sky
Feel so good again
I just want to fly
All those things you said
Still Cut me I'm bleeding
But I can't own your pain
so much wasted time
Sick of all your lies
Things will never be the same
Always chasing sunshine
Love this clear blue sky
Feel so good again
I just want to fly
And all the things you said
Don't matter anymore
I'm still smiling to myself
Always chasing sunshine
Love this clear blue sky
Feel so good again
I just want to fly
Always chasing sunshine
Love this clear blue sky
Feel so good again
I just want to fly
